Norris sent visiting Platteview home with a 3-0 setback to open the 2010 volleyball season. The Titans scored wins of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-18.

Trojans 7th at Gretna golf tournament

Elkhorn South cruised to the team championship at the Gretna Invitational held at Tiburon Golf Course. Platteview struggled to a seventh-place finish in the Trojans' first tournament appearance of the season.

No. 3 Neumann outscores Trojans

Platteview's football debut in Class C-1 didn't go as well as hoped against pre-season No. 3 Wahoo Neumann. The visiting Cavaliers started slow but finished fast in a 40-23 victory to open the 2010 football season.

Tojans come up short at district golf

Omaha Gross dominated the B-2 boys district golf tournament hosted by Platteview at Tregaron Golf Course in Bellevue. The Cougars won the team championship with the top three individual finishers, while the Trojans finished eighth without any state qualifiers.

Dannelly hired to fill girls basketball post

Justin Dannelly has accepted an offer to become Platteview's next varsity girls basketball coach. Dannelly, who served as a varsity assistant and freshmen coach the past two seasons, is a teacher at Springfield Elementary School.
